Darnley Island (Erub) from Nepean Island

It was in this vicinity, close to Tobin Cay that Captain Bligh's ships PROVIDENCE & ASSISTANT were attacked by island warriors in canoes.
The ASSISTANT's commander felt threatened enough to fire a gun at the foremost canoe. Only then did the challengers decide to retreat.
