GOVERNOR READY Wreck
In an on-off-on again search over 35 years I finally found this protrusion in about 7 metres in Cumberland passage in the vicinity of the coarse map showing the wreck site.
It appears to be one of the anchors. The reef slope goes down to about 40 metres at a 40º angle & is heavily covered in coral growth. During my short, non-invasive survey I could not discern other wreckage. The location is in an area of constant south-easterly swells & very strong currents.
