Saibai

Saibai is the only Torres Strait island which does not have an english name. The southern, mangrove lined coast of Papua New Guinea & the village of Sigabaduru are only 4 km distant.
I still clearly recall seeing & hearing a herd of Rusa (Deer) swimming across & being attacked by crocodiles & sharks in 1980.
